Committee Position<\/strong> Descriptions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director\/Event Coordinator<\/strong> \u2013 These individuals lead the committee meetings, tend to emails regarding their commitee, and organize work between the members of their respective committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant Director\/Assistant Event Coordinator<\/strong> \u2013 These individuals help assist the director or event coordinator with their responsibilities. They are also responsible for the responsibilities of the director or event coordinator if they are absent in any event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Member<\/strong> \u2013 These individuals are important in delivering ideas, production, and feedback to their directors or event coordinators and the executive team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic Year-Round Committees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finance Committee<\/strong> \u2013 For those interested in: Accounting, Actuarial Science, Budget Analysis, Management, Economics, Finance, and Data Analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Finance Committee Members aid the treasurer in making financial budgets, looking for sponsorships, and organizing possible fundraisers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Humanitarian Awareness Committee<\/strong> – For those interested in: Humanitarian Issues, Delegation, Working with Non-Profits, Communications, Global Resources, International Issues, Journalism, Public Policy, and Politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Humanitarian Awareness Committee works with its Committee Director to plan events that bring awareness to global issues and make strides to better inform Iowa State students of important issues worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Publicity Committee<\/strong> \u2013 For those interested in: Advertising, Merchandising, Graphic Design, Business, Mass Communications, Photography, Web Design, Public Relations, and Marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Publicity Committee will work alongside the Publicity Committee Director on awareness efforts for ISC. The Publicity Committee works on creative ways to promote and advertise ISC events and maintain ISC’s public relations with different subsections, such as marketing, advertisement, graphic design, photography, web design, and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Advocacy Committee<\/strong> – For those interested in: Student Affairs, Communications, Delegation, Journalism, Entrepreneurship, Working with School Administrators, International Outreach, Public Policy, and Politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Student Advocacy Committee is the platform for international students to voice their issues. Student Advocacy members will work with the committee’s director, and other university committees, organizations, and departments to discuss policy changes and host events that will help with issues international students face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fall Semester Event Committees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

International Culture Fair (ICF) Committee \u2013 <\/strong>For those interested in: Art, Cultural Exhibition, Food, Performance Management, Event Management, Event Planning, and International Culture.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The International Culture Fair Committee works with international and multicultural student organizations across campus to organize the annual International Culture Fair \u2014 ISC\u2019s largest event of the year. ICF brings together cultures from all over the world through interactive booths, traditional clothing, performances, art, and global cuisine. Visitors get the opportunity to learn about and experience dozens of nationalities in one vibrant, community-centered event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a committee member, you will collaborate with other members and an event coordinator to plan and execute all aspects of ICF \u2014 from booth coordination, cultural displays, and performance scheduling to food planning, logistics, and event-day operations. You will gain hands-on experience in event planning while working directly with student organizations to celebrate and highlight ISU\u2019s global diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World Soccer Tournament<\/strong> \u2013 For those interested in: Sports, Event Management, Event Planning, and International Culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World Soccer Tournament Committee will work with other international and multicultural organizations to organize a fun, interactive event. You will have first-hand experience planning and executing tasks while collaborating with multiple international and multicultural groups at ISU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
